Looking forward to your future content and commentary in this post-truth world, I've long-since given up on mainstream TV media for news and limit myself to The Spectator and Telegraph print/digital media. Like many others I know, I get most of my news and commentary from Substack, so it's great to see you're onboard.

Welcome, Liam, glad you've taken the plunge. Best of luck.

Substack is your natural home, Liam. I first discovered your work during Vote Leave campaign. I read some articles and saw you in Manchester on the panel at a Jacob Rees-Mogg fringe event at the Tory conference. I’ve followed your work closely since then.

I so missed your Business Lunch on GB News. I bombarded them with protests. As with all they do on the ‘People’s Channel’ there’s no transparency and no response. Just brilliant presenters gone with no warning! I was a supporter from day 1 but I’m now boycotting them.

I’m really looking forward to an expansion of your work … audio and video too. Brilliant news. I’ve been asking Dan Wootton to interview you since you left GB News. I’ve let him know you’re on Substack now. This is such a good fit for you. You, Dan Wootton, Steven Barrett, Darren Grimes, Ayaan Hirsi Ali to name just a few. Happy Substacking!!

Yes a happy bunch and am subscribed to all too ☺

Yes, I recognise your description of the zero response from GBNews to all the protests as they got rid of all the best people. I too have left them behind. Great to see Liam here. Just wish Substack was a lot more user-friendly - I have no idea at all how to navigate it and wander around, happening upon people and unable to find anything or anyone I'm really looking for! Amazing what we put up with in today's world of irrational chaos - but this seems to be the home of free speech at the moment....

I'm also looking forward to this. Although I'm wondering if a better title could be a comment on a changing world with the abbreviation WTFH instead of WTFC

I paid my subscription as soon as I saw it on Triggernometry. I have listened to Planet Normal since it started and am so glad you've taken the plunge at Substack. I enjoy reading your columns in the Telegraph. You explain economics in an easy-to-digest manner and I'm so glad to be able to support you.

I always enjoy listening to Liam on the Planet Normal podcast and previously on GB News so I am disappointed to find that someone else is reading Liam’s words. Just not the same

Delighted that you’ve decided to launch this Substack. There are far too few real experts who can, as you rightly say, explain complex ideas in simple language. And there are also far too few experts who write independently rather than as spokesmen of the interests of the professions from which they earn their living. The more the State does (and pays for), the more such experts-with-an-interest are on both sides of the transaction: officials and quangocrats become indistinguishable in their interests from the private sector and academic experts they hire to advise them how much more public money they can spend, borrow and tax. No wonder “expert” becomes a term of abuse. So there’s definitely a market for those like you. And, since the experts-with-an-interest thrive on complexity (“don’t trouble your pretty head with it dear, trust me: I’m an expert”) the ability to simplify is most definitely at a premium. Good luck!

Lovely to see you back Liam. I certainly don't consider economics boring. I developed a passion for it during lockdowns joining Fortune and Freedom at Southbank Investment Research and indulging in everything business, economics and investing. I always enjoyed your segments on GB News and was sad to see you go.

I'm looking forward to listening to your wise ramblings going forward and regret you don't have a MSM outlet on TV at a time when your knowledge is needed by so many at a time they need it most....thank goodness for substack.

Say hello to Co pilot Alison, absolutely love listening in to planet normal. Let's hope we can all find a way back to the normal planet soon.

Best of luck with your new adventure.

Couldn’t sign up quick enough Liam, thank you 👍

Liam,

Great to have you back, please fashion your pieces for those of us that are fed up with all the technical jargon and doublespeak of politicians and other economists.

That would be most welcome.

Miss you on GB news. You were great. I still read your articles on Telegraph and Spectator.

Isnt this the next stage after the Great Taking of the pandemic?

The Great Taking is what Catherine Austin Fitz describes it!

Looking forward to your work. I’ve felt the lack of serious and informed commentary on Substack so best of luck Liam !

Having followed your Telegraph column since you took over from Roger Bootle all those years ago and followed Planet Normal since its first episode I look forward to your writings.

I appreciate the full spelling of the name. The WTFC initialism is likely to be misunderstood.

Say something about gold as an alternatives, which the banks don't want people to know about, to protect us against monetisation of national debt and resulting inflation.
