The facts on net zero have not really changed. As a physics later electronic engineering person Net Zero has always be insane ever since the they invesnted the climate alarmist religion. This is fairly clear to any sensible, honest and not on the make physicist!
Why endure the highest energy costs in the world when we are sitting on a hundred years of cheap energy? Buy the same stuff back from the other side of the world. Have intermittent energy and no spare supply to power an AI economic boom? Be dependent on China for wind turbines and solar panels with an ROI half their lifespan; a sustainability proposition that only works because of tax subsidies. Our adversaries have the upper hand. It is a national security risk posed by Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. It is eco-loon ideology.
Gosh that was interesting, stand out for me was Francis saying the fact that our Electicity needs are declining is in fact blackouts. Security, affordability, emissions.
Enjoyed another enlightening and intimate conversation Liam with an industry expert highlighting the struggles of business versus politics, but once again (it’s becoming a weekly occurrence!) hearing the ‘invested’ specialist underline why we are on another wrong course, as we virtually ‘ditch’ an established industry that could provide certain growth, as our government stands idly-by watching the demise of the oil and gas industry which has been sacrificed at the alter of net zero.
Such a clear, coherent debate. I feel I’m learning from a variety of experts via Substack. But with every great mind I hear or article I read I get increasingly frustrated and depressed by the blind stupidity of this government. Let the voices of truth and reason rise up! Thank you Liam.
